Marco Antonio Pereira began making films in 2017, quickly gaining recognition for his bold aesthetics and unique storytelling in rural Minas Gerais, Brazil. His shorts screened at festivals like Berlinale, Hong Kong, Viña del Mar, FNC Montreal, Palm Springs, Gramado, Tiradentes, Rio, Janela de Cinema, and Olhar de Cinema. They won dozens of awards and were licensed by Canal Brasil and Arte (France/Germany)
