El silencio del viento is the story of a man who tries to get over his sister’s death but can’t because he has to continue working at his illegal business of bringing undocumented immigrants from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico.
Álvaro Aponte-Centeno
Álvaro Aponte-Centeno completed a Master in Communication and Film, going on to make short films and commercials. He has shot three short films: Yahaira (Best Short Film at Puerto Rico’s Cinefiesta Festival, 2015), Mi santa mirada (selected for Festival de Cannes, 2012) and Luz(Best Short Film at the Cinefiesta, Havana Festival and Cannes Short Film Corner, 2010). He is currently working on the edition of El silencio del viento (Silence of the Wind), his first feature film.
