Mars at Nightfall

PRIX CINÉMA EN CONSTRUCTION CCAS MENTION SPÉCIALE 2025

Rodri, a Kaqchikel Mayan boy from a small village in Guatemala, loses the money that Antonio, his father, gave him to pay for electricity in a bet because he wants a bicycle. Meanwhile, Antonio’s horse is taken away by the police for not having a license to cut wood in the forest. Rodri doesn’t dare tell his father what happened. When the power is cut off and the house is left completely dark, the planet Mars will rise from behind the Moon to give them light.
