Paulinha lives a tough life in a slum in inland Brazil. During a scuffle, she meets Michelle, who, escaping both the police and criminals, becomes her best friend. From then on, her life is changed.
Michelle falls for Gabi, with whom Paulinha is in love. The trio embarks on a trip to Rio de Janeiro. Misled by desire, both the trip and their relationships take unexpected turns. Now they must endure and survive the return home, which will take them through unknown paths.
Juliana Antunes
Juliana Antunes (1989) is a director and screenwriter. Baronesa (2017) her first film, was shown at 100 festivals and won 25 awards, as FIDMarseille, La Havana Film Festival, Indie Lisboa, DOC Montevideo. She also wrote and directed short films Control Plan and Tropic of Capricorn. Control Plan was awarded at FIC Valdivia and Mar del Plata (2019) and shown at important festivals like NYFF and VIENNALE.

Camila Matos
Camila Matos is a director, screenwriter and editor based in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. She graduated from the Vila das Artes Public Film School in Fortaleza, CE. Along with Juliana Antunes, she co-directed the feature film Back to Back Copacabana (in post-production). They are also working together on their next project, Superb which is a prize-winning selection at the Brasil Cinemundi Market (Belo Horizonte, 2025).
