Vainilla

In the late 80s, a family made up of seven women from different generations and ideologies, struggle to save the house they live in and which they are about to lose because of a debt. The story unfolds through the eyes of the youngest, Roberta (8), as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery, which impacts the rest of the family.

Mayra Hermosillo

Mayra Hermosillo, originally from Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico, has worked as an actress for directors such as Alejandra Márquez Abella, Rodrigo Prieto, Alejandro Guzmán, Iván Ávila, Luis Estrada, Amat Escalante, Humberto Hinojosa, Rodrigo Plá, Michel Grau, Salvador Espinosa. In 2018 she wrote and co-directed her first short film, officially selected at the Guadalajara International Festival. Vainilla, her first feature film, was shot in 2023 and is currently in post-production.
