Mariano Cócolo begins his training at the Cuyo Regional Film School where he specializes as Director of Photography.
Luz, his first documentary short film as a director, receives awards from the jury, the press and the public. In 2015, his second short film Al Silencio, obtained the Best Director award at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival and then premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in Korea, where he continued his journey through more than 40 festivals, garnering multiple awards. .
In 2017, he won the INCAA regional short film contest with his project Alfredo. In parallel, he develops as Director of Photography for feature films, television series and advertising.
La Calma (his fiction debut) is selected in both Primer Corte del Ventana Sur international market as well as exhibited to potential distributors at the Marche du film at the Cannes Film Festival.
He is currently developing his second feature film, La casa, winner of the INCAA regional fiction feature film competition.
